[It's some time before the network comes around enough that he can answer back, and with so much static on it, he's not sure a proper call will reach Rey at all. He tries text instead.]

[He says he's sorry. The text isn't much better, but she can make out that much and it makes her chest tighten, her throat hitch. She can't stand the thought of this being their last conversation, after things had ended the way they had before her little "nap". There's still so much that she hasn't told him.
